Always the Bride's Maid
Never the Bride

The movie "My best friend's wedding" from two different points of view.

Last summer we were attacked by many action movies. However, there was one movie that standed out, becuase it was a traditional romantic comedy.

In "My best friend's wedding", Julia Roberts stars as a successful restaurant critic who suddenly receives a message from her best friend, John, that he's planning to get married soon and wants her to come as the bride's maid for his future wife. It suddenly strikes her like lightning that she has loved him. From this point on she does everything in her power to prevent and ruin the wedding.

I personally loved this movie very much, for several reasons. First of all it wasn't a usual romantic comedy with the expected ending of happily ever after; Julia Roberts didn't get her way. Secondly the movie has wonderful soundtracks with different classic songs; the actors were very good and the movie had different stars like Kamron Diaz, Robert Kemdon, Julia Roberts, etc. In conclusion, I couldn't get out of my chair because I was very fascinated by the movie.

Unlike my colleague, Einat, I didn't like the movie very much. The plot was very predictable and boring. Julia Roberts didn't do her best in the movie. Actually the plot was a plot of cynism and irony which were very badly hidden under the cover of a romantic comedy. However, I have to agree about one thing with my colleague, the end was unexpected and improved by very little the movie for me.

We, Stella and Einat, presented our opinions on this movie and it's your job to decide whether to see it or not. Whether you decide to see the movie or not "he will always stay in her heart."
